چکیده

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary curcumin on hepatic lipid metabolism and antioxidant capacity in Roman laying hens. A total 144 hens (28 weeks old) were allocated 4 treatments that included at concentrations 0, 50, 150, 250 mg/kg for 9 weeks. Each treatment had 6 replicates per group with replicate (2 birds/cage). The results showed supplementation decreased (P < 0.05) absolute relative abdominal fat weight during 32–34 wk. Curcumin supplemented 150 been reduced triglycerides (TG) cholesterol plasma, liver TG concentrations, enzyme activities malic (ME) lipoprotein lipase throughout experiment. also mRNA expression Sterol expression-regulatory protein-1c (SREBP-1c), ACC, FAS, ME while it increased Apolipoprotein B-100 Apolipoprotein-II. Further research found boosted activity enzymes Superoxide dismutase, Catalase, Glutathione peroxidase plasma liver. It lowered levels Malondialdehyde In conclusion, inclusion regulated metabolism, deposition improved HighlightsCurcumin can regulate by reducing liver.Curcumin genes involved synthesis

Effects of Dietary Dihydropyridine Supplementation on Laying Performance and Fat Metabolism of Laying Hens

The experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dihydropyridine on laying performance and fat metabolism of laying hens. Five hundred and forty laying hens, 40 weeks old, were randomly allotted to three groups, each of which included four replicates of 45 hens. The groups were given a basal corn-soybean meal diet supplemented with 0, 150 mg/kg and 300 mg/kg dihydropyridine. Results s...

Effects of dietary garlic on cholesterol metabolism in laying hens.

Experiments were conducted to evaluate the potential for dietary garlic to influence egg yolk cholesterol concentrations and overall performance in different layer strains. Thirty-six, 28-wk-old, Hisex Brown,Isa Brown, Lohmann, Starcross, Babcock, and Starcross-579 strains (six hens per strain) were fed diets supplemented with 0 (control), 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10% sun-dried garlic paste for 6 wk. Effects of dietary oxidized oil on laying performance, lipid metabolism, and apolipoprotein gene expression in laying hens.

We studied the effects of dietary oxidized oils on serum lipid metabolic indices, estradiol level, and the gene expression of apolipoprotein B-100 and apolipoprotein VLDL-II in laying hens. Hy-Line Grey hens (280 ± 10 d old; average egg production, 90.0 ± 2.5%) were allotted to 1 of 4 dietary treatments, which were supplemented with 0 (control group), 1% (low oxidized group), 2% (moderately oxi...

Reduction of Dexamethasone-Induced Oxidative Stress and Lipid Peroxidation in Laying Hens by Dietary Vitamin E Supplementation

The objective of the present study is to research the effect of dietary vitamin E (Vit E) on laying performance, lipid peroxidation and antioxidative status in laying hens under experimentally induced oxidative stress conditions via Dexamethasone (DEX) administration. A total of 60 Egyptian local strain (Gimmizah) laying hens at 36 weeks of age were housed in individual cages in an open-sided b...
